Has anybody ordered any of the new Maier plastic for the trx450r? I was wanting to know how well the finish was if its like their "dull" finish or there new "shiny" finish. Also how well the holes match up to mount it.

The maier plastic is made from the exact same sheets of plastic that the full bore is.:)

How well does it line up for the mounting process. The reason being I ordered maier plastic for my old 400 and some of the holes didnt line up so i had to make new holes. I hope its not gonna be like that again for the 450r plastic:(

I got Maier silver plastic on mine...the holes matched up pretty well...the hardest part is trying to figure out how to put the front plastic on...the directions dont really help out that much...it would have been easier if i would have looked to see how the stock came off

Although the plastic matched up perfectly, the hood was different...first of all the mounting hardware that came with it does not fit the holes on the plastic...i had to jerryrig it to make it work...after i got it on, it did not match with the plastics at all on the sides. I would have thought that it would have being that i had Maier plastics with a Maier hood:(

Bama450r, where did you order your plastics from? Im either getting the silver like you got or all black. Both would go good with my trans blue frame, leaning toward silver.. black just seems too high maintenance.

a buddy of mine owns a local shop and he order them direct...yeah i would have to say that a blue frame would look sick with silver plastics.... defianatly better than black plastics...that scratches on black dont make it any better.

Hey bama450r, the pics helped out a lot. It seems like all the holes mount up. The only problem tho is it looks like your running a maier hood but im gonna be using a quadtech hood. Does anybody have maier plastic with a quadtech hood?

It shouldnt matter what 450r hood you use, they should all go on fine.

The maier hood fits the stock plastics and the maier plastics, the quadtech hood fits the stock plastics so it should fit the maier plastics. I know that sounds confusing but think about it.
