How much sound does a quiet core take away from an hmf? I really don't want to go much loudere than my old 400ex w/ pro- circuit pipe. Thanks.

go with TC Racing... can't be beat and not everyone has it. Plus you'll stand out in the looks department with the shorty pipe on there

S P A R K S. The TC is a nice pipe but does not make 535 worth of power to the Sparks 459 power. And besides you stand out even more when you have to learn sign language cause youre deaf.

Sparks is really loud too.

the ones i saw were at the bolts that hold the pipe to the can on the slip on the bolts back out and after about the second or third tightening the strip and the can cracks at the mount and just recently the inner core that the packing raps around broke lrd has been good for it every time he sent it back which was only twic the rest of the times he drilled welded or did what he needed to put it back together

Around here in North Carolina allot of the TT guys are actually using the Bill Balance Carbon Fiber pipe. They are loving it. Thinking of going with that or the Sparks.

get the HMF ballance carbon or sparks

i put a HMF slip on on my quad with a 125 main jet and kept the box lid. HUGE gains over stock, plus the price...cant be beat. i cant imagine when i get my k&n filter, pro-flow adapter, throw the box lid, and put a nice jet in there and see what happens then! LRD and HMF are almost identical if you look at them.
The Ballance series by HMF claims the same power gains but is intended to smooth out the power, making it more user friendly. In my opinion, this pipe is good for the YFZ, not the 450R. The YFZ has that aweful snappy punch that makes you want to cut your arms off. the bill ballance on the yfz will smooth that out. On the 450R, the power is a more smooth power delivery (not slower) so thats why i chose the sport series  So think about it...

maybe the titanium ones but then HMF doesn't have that do they. my trs ss carbon full system is about $100.00 cheaper then the HMF BB carbon full system.

well i'm talking slip-ons. i paid 235 shipped for my hmf and probably puts out the same if not better numbers than the yoshi full system...guaranteed! i guess if you want your quad to look cute and all that carbon stuff just so you can you say you have it, go ahead, get the yoshi. but when i'm talking about horsepower, i'll stick to my instinct and go with HMF.

OK believe what you wont just remember that when your behind me eating my dust. Ive raced the HMF set ups and there not all that. as far as hp goes the Yoshi is one of the best. the carbon is for weight dumb @$$ not looks. when you race some one with one don't come crying back, we tried to tell you.:D

Believe it or not, no matter how much you weigh the stock 450R suspension isnt great. And thats the reason I got LSR because I payed about half of what these other guys pay for LSR.

No more post jacking: Back to pipes! S P A R K S.

you know as well is i do you try to get every advantage you can in racing and weight is one. I'm not knocking the LSR hell i wont it my self. i was just stating to jersey that the Yoshi system were not more expensive then the HMF. the carbon system was just a example.

Rockymountain has the full yosh for $399 and I think they may even have free shipping on it yet. I haven't looked at a HMF lately but I don't know of anyplace offhand that will get you a full HMF system with the sparky to your door for less than $399.

If you can hold out for a few weeks the pulse charger will be coming out. its completely new technology that I feel is going to make the other big names rethink how they are doing things.

hmf is a nice pipe and I almost went with them until I couldn't find any numbers on the ballance series. then i kept hearing about having problems with welds on the sparky, trm, or quiet core, can't remember which it was though. I think people said they were breaking and rattling around in the can. HMF was always quick to fix peoples problems on the plus side though. I'll let you guys know how the pulsecharger is as soon as I recieve it. I am sure its going to rippppp!!
