I just got a 450R and I`m gonna take it to the track tomorrow. It has lot of fast corners, some doubles and 2 big tables.

What should I do with preload? I heard you have to put it on th highiest so the gravity center is low.
Is that right?

Use the preload to adjust sag. If you want it to sit lower reduce preload.

How does changing the preload affect your ride? besides making it lower, what else does it do?

a way softer ride.. you can use your compression to compensate for the preload, but it isn't the best idea.. just keep ur preload someplace in the middle of soft and hard, and use your compression adj to dial it in, maybe a little rebound also. The faster the rebound i believe the harder the shock is, too.. there are a lot of adj that you just have to get used to and fiddle with til you can figure it out perfect for you.
