my buddy has a set of trail tech hid lights on his yfz. he runs the stock lights with no problems. will my trx450 do the same or will it not have the wattage to power the lights?

I was wondering about this too. The stock lights suck!!! I think I would get more light than the stockers by duct taping my mag light to the handlebars.

I like the look of the all in one package from trailtech. The speedo, clamp, bars and the hid lights but I dont think they make the whole package just lights or no lights i think????

As kssandduner notes, the TRX lights are junk - but....

The TRX has an awesome stator for lights. It is DC power so you can run HID lights. It is capable of 100 watts of total lighting.

For $119, you can get a Halogen stock location replacement that will give you 4x the light as compared to stock:

You can also put HID's on the bars (run them at the same time as stock lights or the Trail Tech stock location replacement lights):

With the four lights shown in this picture, the TRX is beacon of light.

You can combine bars/lights/computer/clamp....anything you want.

Can you get the kit with just the handlebar lights, and if so, where would the key and temp light get mounted?

jaywoodsrider,

Yes. Look at the second picture again, you can see the key and indicator light in the cover just under the bar clamp.
