help does anyone know if a compression test would tell if the rings are bad?

if you get a compresssion test and it shows its low, it could be anything. then you have to check everything

do a copression test, and if its low then pour about a tablespoon of oil in the cylinder and re-test it. if the compression is higher after putting the oil in the cylinder then the rings are bad, if its about the same then its not the rings its something else.
