300ex air and oil filter

Does the oil filter have to have the rubber side out like on a 400ex? Also, after I clean my air filter, can I just use motor oil to oil it?

I was brought up being told that motor oil was just fine so that's what I always used. when I got my 400 I thought just for the heck of it I would try some spray on filter oil. The main thing I noticed was the spray would stay on the filter and not in the bottom of my airbox. it don't make near the mess that oil does and if it's staying on the filter it has to work better. I use Maxima Fab 1 now and would never go back to oil.;)

Also, what kind of oil filter do you reccomend?

oil filters dont really matter,...well they do matter, but just get a OEM one from honda, theyre real cheap and will do just fine
