Okay,

I listened to you guys and just installed a 13 tooth front sprocket (I do a lot of tight trail riding)....So anyways, the dealer tells me to run the chain a little tighter (3/4 inch slack) instead of the normal 1 to 1 1/4. He says this will reduce the chances of chucking the chain into the case.

Anyone here agree or disagree ? What are you guys with 13 T sprockets running for chain tension ?

Thanks

run stock specs.
if you run to tight it will stretch sooner

no other reasons

I agree with the spindles and HN400.

Your dealer just wants to make a big deal out of a simple mod (or sound like he knows what he is talking about):eek2:

seems like a lot of dealers dont know what they are talking about. im glad i konw most dealers around here and when i go there (usually never) they know to just get what i ask for.

you dont even need to take the chain off just loosen the bolt then the sprocket will fall right off.
then just bolt the new one on
