i dunno i was just sitting and i remeber reading suntin about putting the front 250r calipers on the 400ex i jsut cant rember how it was done or if there was an adapter i needed to buy and why it is better than the 400 caliper

Buy 450r front spindals and calipers they will bolt right up. and are lot cheaper

How much are the 450 spindles and calipers?

You can get the 250r caliper mounts and calipers for 200 or less if you keep your eyes open long enough. Keep an eye on ebay and the classified section here.

i can get perdy much anythign i want used cuz i work at a atv and snowmobile salvage....but does neone no why the 250r calipers are better

All around better braking, and more ground clearence on the rear.

hey k faulk im talking about the front brakes not the rear i seen ur thread on the rear brakes

Well the braking is still way better with the front 250r calipers too. I have them also.

If you could get the 450r setup for less than 250-300 it would be worth it, That way you dont have to mess around with rebuilind 15 year old calipers.

with the front is all u need is the caliper or do u need an r spindle too

I have baldwins mount to put them on 400ex spindles.

do the 450r calipers bolt right up or do u have buy a mount for them too

You would need to use 450r spindles.
