My stock clutch basket took a poop. I got it out, but there is a gear attatched to the back of it with pins. I can drill the pins out, but how do I attatch the gear back to a stock clutch basket???

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure the gear is supposed to stay on the clutch basket. Do you already have another clutch basket to put in? Does it have the gear attached? If you look on http://www.albaaction.com/ under factory replacment parts it shows the gear and the basket all together.

I helped a buddy put an aftermarket basket in his 400 and I think the gear was already on it. I don't remember removing and installing the gear with pins.

The gear stays. The new basket will have one on it.

A buddy of mine thought it needed to come off when trying to put a new basket in his 'Shee. That doesn't work!

:( Well, that sucks.. I bought a stock one from someone, but it doesn't have the gear on it.......I figured I could slap my gear on it...

My hinson basket did not come with a gear on it.

YLW, contact Hinson and see if he can send you some small screws to hold the stock basket on the gear. They should work.

That's the only fix I can think of.

Contact me if things don't work out on the basket...

ya just drill out the rivets holding the gear to the stock basket and then take bolts or rivets and hook the gear to your aftermarket basket. I had to do it a few times on my old banshee. I haven't ever seen a aftermarket basket come with a gear on them... but it would make it much better and alot less work if they did.
