blown motor

I rencently had the top end go out of my cr80, ive herd the cylinders are nickle and we cant bore it out, anyone know if this is true? i was looking to bore it one size over and stage 4 porting and polishing then shaving some off the head, but if i cant bore it im going to have to get a sleve etc.. do you know of anyone that offers bigbore kits?

man, i used to blow up 80's like they were baloons. yes, the cr80 has a nikasil plated cylinder so you can't bore it. what you said though will most definitly work.
i blew up my 1st bike, a kx80 in the 1st day i had it. no one ever told me i couldnt go WOT for a few miles!:mad:

well you can bore it but you have to get it re plated

im probaly going to make it a 90cc, port and polish the head, shave aka mill it and a high compression piston, not too wild just something to perform with

too bad you cant port and polish a two stroke head.... you can only mill and rechamber a two strokes head dude. you can port and polish the cylinder though.:o
