View Full Version : why wont they fit?

i purchased a set of +2 tie rods.. but for some reason the stock ends will not fit.. i know about the reversed thread and all that.. and i can only get one of the nuts for the ends to fit on the tie rods.. anybody know why this is? im about to buy a new set from pappy.. but i dont wanna waste my money and not have them fit on there either.. any ideas of why this is happening? any ideas waht i should do?

Your absolutely sure that your using the correct side nut and rod end on the correct end of the tie rod?

I bet the threads are not cut to the right pitch or they cut right hand threads on both ends. Take a close look and see if they look square or pointed

so do you think if i buy new rods that i may have more luck?
or is the inside of the existing ends is messed up?

its kind of hard to tell over the internet:p

where did you buy the tie rods?

and we cant be sure new ones would solve your problem if the tie rod end is jacked up. are the threads clean and do they show signs of thread damage?
