hey! im having trouble with my carb, I got a hetrick exhuast jetted k&n filter and when i smash the trottle it backs out and bogs and I was thinking going to like a 42 piliot jet I think there like a 170 main in there im gonna try 180 and where should i put the needle clip im trying to get it jetted so i can run winter and summer with out jetting

NEED MORE INFO :

STOCK MOTOR?
CAM?
DOES IT IDLE FINE?
DOES IT SPUTTER AT MID THROTTLE?
DOES IT BACK FIRE AFTER YOU PUNCH IT?

Oh sorry Yeh i got a je piston stock bore web cam It idles fine Yeh it sputters at mid and back fires a little And so as i punch the trottle it bogs out if you guys could help me i would aprreciate it thanks!!

How about leave the jetting for now and check if the accelerator pump is working. If the accelerator pump is working try cleaning the carb... but as it sounds you are already running on the rich side

A 220 Main:eek2: WOW i would think that is way too big i am running a 190 in my 450r with no lid and a full exhaust

i think im gonna check my carb make sure the float and go up on the piolet jet and either 165 main jet or go up It just cutting out and i don't know what to do thanks!

Yea thats why i said i would think;) that is too big. anybody in their right mind would know better.

i would try a keihin 160, needle clip in 4th position, 42 pilot, and fuel screw 2.75-3 turns out from lightly seated.
