A local shop is selling new DVX 400's for $4300 and that is a bit less than the Z's and KFX's. I am getting conflicting statements about the likeness of the 3. Somebody help so I don't screw this up.

Same Quad. A little different plastic is all.

I saw a pic posted of the 05' dvx, didn't look like it had the new adjustable shocks. If not it still is the excact same bike, a Suzuki.

OK it was my mistake it is for the '04. However I called a closer dealer to see if they would price match. They said they don't carry Arctic Cat but he said he "could probably" do the same deal on an '04 KFX or Z. Of course this is all told to me, in an over the phone conversation. I am assuming $4300 for a brand new '04 Z or KFX is still a good deal? I have seen people selling used slightly mod'ed '03s for about that same price.

I would have to say that 4300 is a good price, is that out the door? Still even with tax say 4600 or 4700. I just paid $5757 out the door for my 05'.

I have a z 400 but I wanted the dvx because I like the fenders better . The only difference is the fenders and the seat . The reverse switch is in a different spot as well. Still says suzuki on the frame.
Some people and the magazines didnt like the fenders as they dont cover as much but if you like the shaved look then go for it .
Plus the fenders are removable and you can get different colors if you want.
As for performance they are the same. Some parts you need to get you should check first as some will not fit the dvx probably because if the fender mouning difference

Out the door price will be $4558. I wish they carried the DVX just because I haven't seen a lot of people with them. It feels better to be a trend setter vs. following the trend. Either way I will know by Friday if this deal is going to go through. This will be the best early Christmas Gift I have ever gotten myself. Aside from my .308 that is.

$4300 is a killer deal compared to what I've found in CA, more like $4900 here for a new '04 Z400. I think the 'cats are great looking, but no dealers around here.

Hey Redrunner what was the price of your '05 Z400 before tax and license? I need some ammo to use on my dealer!

My deal was $5757 out the door, 8% tax included. No license fee.

$4938.94 was my final cost. I didn't realize they had a $350 freight and set up charge. But I pick it up today. I got the green one. I will try and get some pics before the weekend.
