The day was perfect. Sunny skies were to be out with temperatures in the low 80's. Could you believe weather like this at the end of October. Many riders stayed out late with the kids Trick-or-Treating, but were now ready to face the Uncle Lem's Halloween race!

Bonnie Cook
11-01-2004, 12:41 PM
As promised, the track was running through the old house that is behind the starting line rather than through the barn. The house has been a part of the track here at Uncle Lem's since we first held a Mid East event here.
So at Halloween, we dress it up a little.

Bonnie Cook
11-01-2004, 12:42 PM
The floors were falling in and one day, the house will cave!!

With news spreading that the top three pro riders not going to be in town, the riders showed up for the PRO Class Purse

Disregard the rules at this point.

i sucked today at fallston!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but i didn't cheat

mobyplane
11-08-2004, 05:42 AM
Neither did i gump, and that makes both of us winners even though we sucked. I know that it was happening yesterday and has been happening for the last few races. It's very frustrating, because guys like us are out there workin' our *** off, trying to compete honestly.

barry rhames
11-08-2004, 03:18 PM
yes well you know who the people are cheating. consider your self better than them you know it and buy your own sweat shirt couse you didnt win the points. me personaly im going to send them out thru the woods on lap one so they can beat me with out passing me and get a plank with a picture and a sweat shirt. the depressing thing is none of the people that i hear about cheating are racing for money so that only leaves lieng to your self ,and every one needs to be a little nicer not cussing at them while your running over there foot **** does happen you know i mean while that person was rolling down the hill right in front of me i didnt run over him or cuss him after i was by him i can take one or the other but not both

gump
11-08-2004, 06:07 PM
just watched the video my bro and dannys400ex took of the race, got the starts and the rest was at the hillclimd, got some nice ens of you going up barry, and nice try on that second one moby...:D

mobyplane
11-09-2004, 06:16 AM
Well, I made it up the hill all 5 times. It just took me two tries on my 1st and 3rd lap. Not sure why they wouldn't let me go to the far left on lap 1 which was my intention. Then when my next choice wasn't available (3rd lane from the right), I had to take lane 1 to the far right. I just wasn't mentally committed and executed poorly. It was unfortunate since I was in 2nd place at the time (new territory for me!). But I learned alot of good leasons and really enjoyed the race. It's been an exciting rookie year for me. I'm looking forward to next year. 99% of the Senior guys are great to compete with, good sportsmans, and fun to talk with before and after the race.

gump
11-09-2004, 10:45 PM
it's easier to get that 2nd place at the start than keeping it with this group we ride with, edenfield ,hunter and robinson took it personal when i holeshot their candyazz's !!! :D and yer right senior class is in my opion is the best group of guys out there, were a small class and have gotton to know eachother very well.. the boys will see that candyazz part on here and will just give me hell at the next race cause it's all good with us, talk a little smack and race." they know their faster than me, and i know it" but not one time have the top guys cut the track, or cheated to win! hunter even stopped sunday to help robinson put the fire out on his quad dropping him to 5th place.
i'll quit *****ing about the track cutting.. i had to vent cause he was 3 points behind me and now way ahead with 1 race left... guess that's racing...

mobyplane
11-10-2004, 10:55 AM
Hunter helped me out at Circle J when I flipped over and was stuck under my bike. I suspect that a guy who cheats would not take the time to help out his competitor the way that he did that day.

I am glad everyone has time to sit here and knock on everyone else during the week.
I want to thank everyone that reads the Mid East stories here on ExRiders.
I never once said that I was going to be the only one doing this. That is why I talk about ExRiders so much at the races. Everyone almost at the track owns a camera. Take a picture!!!!!
Have some one parked next to you that isn't racing take your picture by god and post it on here!
I post information about the Pros mostly because these guys can use this as sponsorship. I am sorry I have to run a series in one day and cannot stand in one place and take pictures of every single rider. I would love to pay someone to do it.
I take pictures for fun - not for money. Remember that. If you were to look on the mid east site you will see more than 50 pictures after each race of EVERYBODY and FEW PROS.

That is my website on mid east - this isn't - this is for everyone to read about what went on at the race track.

And AS FOR THE SENIOR CLASS.
This class has been the biggest group of whiners for the year!
That is right. At the last 7 races, someone from the Senior class has had a complaint. WHY???????
I do not know!!!!!!
I thought that the older you get, the wiser you were? Am I wrong. I sure hate to get older if it isn't true.
Settle things amongst yourselfs sometimes.
Buren and I docked the last rider ONE POSITION based on our interpretation of the incident. HE had all his punches and his lap times were consistent, not too fast.

The only way to settle this class's problem is to start you on the last row and let all my workers ride behind you and watch every single one of you!!!!!!!!
Through out these last seven races, some one has whined about nearly EVERYONE OF YOU cheating. So how am I supposed to know where the root of the problem is???????
Good grief.
