400ex a arms not a usaul question

well would 400 a arms work with plus 2 works shocks for the 300 so i don't have to get mount kit and i don't have to pay for he aftermarket a arms?

ok im not 100% positive on this but i remember someone talking about works made a shock that was MADE with a 300ex mount on one side and a 400ex on the other, specificly made to use 400ex a arms on 300ex's ..... id try giving works a call.... sorry if this isnt true i only heard it from second hand experince....

I think what you need is Yahama Warrior shocks. I heard this somewhere, but forget where. Measure how long you need the shocks and call works. I think you can get dual rate w/o rezis for under $350 with the custom length. Honda 300ex and 400ex shock ends are the same.

works can custom make shocks, just give the the length of the shock and stuff and you can get anything made..... but if you already have the +2 shocks for the 300 im not sure if it will work.... i think it might but only about 85% sure....

Alright heres the facts.....the shock mount on a 400ex is pushed outer more towards the brake calipers...so this requires a longer shock.....yes 400ex arms are +2 but .........if u buy aftermarket +2 arms MADE TO FIT a 300ex NOT 400ex the shock mount on the arm is in the same position as a stock 300ex arm.....so therefore u will need a custom 15-16 inch shock made to fit...which a warrior banshee or blaster shock will fit.....but...washers will be needed at the lower mount and they really arent that good of a quality shock.......so just put the arms on......but the front on a jack....bolt up the tires ...no shock and lower or raise the jack to see how high or low you want the quad so sit.....then measure from middle to middle on the shock mounts and tell works that length and have them make u a shock......hope i helped..
