Sparks or HMF??

what do you guys n girls think? i heard alot of good things about both n im pretty much stuck on these

i love my sparks, great power.

I don't know about Sparks but HMF offers a quiet core. I have one in mine. It was way too LOUD without it. I couldn't stand how LOUD it was before I installed the quiet core. I am happy with the power and the noise level. I have heard the Sparks and it is VERY LOUD!!

I have the HMF slip on and it sounds GREAT. My friend has the sparks and it is really really (annoying) loud. It is all in what you want. The HMF also has several choices of finishes and you can choose round or oval .

sparks does have a quiet core and they have a racing big bore

Was told by a guy that runs the dyno @ nmotion the sparks pipe for the 450r was not very impressive. They liked it on the yfz though.

my buddy has the yfz with sparks on it and were about 50/50 on drags....even when we switch bikes..both bikes have same mods

the nmotion guy is probably trying to sell there pipe....i have never heard anything bad about performance on a sparks pipe...some people say there loud...but not bad performance....

cutiss sparks builds tim farr motors. So I think he would know a little something about the 450r motor. I'm sure he has knows what make the 450 rip. I have his pipe on mine and i love it.

i have an hmf on mine and liek the sound and power but i like the power better of the sparks on my friends quad

still like the hmf sound tho even sparks does sound good

I have a Sparks stainless system that I just upgraded with a Sparks big-core kit $85.00 It's loud but helps power output alot. There are a ton of exhausts out there. Any will help over stock exhaust... and you'll lose some weight too. If you want a Sparks, ask about big-core option. Outlet is about 1/4 inch bigger.

Did you have the X6. If so how did you upgrade.

I ordered a big-core kit from by local atv shop. I got a new (bigger) core with end cap attatched, new packing (in a nice sealed pouch) and 3 new rivots. Just had to drill out 3 rivots in the endcap, remove old core, wrap new packing around new core and install into housing and drill 3 new holes (in end cap only) and rivot new end cap/core on. Not hard at all.:muscle:

Not sure if X-6.... only stainless pipe from Sparks.

i just found out about these big cores...how does it do for performance..is it worth it..and can you still make it quiet for some of these 94dec dunes
