Which would win in an all around competition. A stock raptor 660 or a piped 400ex. Which is better at jumping in the corners all out speed, and handleing.

Raptors have a high center of gravity, always give you the sense you going to tip over. They are fast in a straight line. I wouldnt suggest one if your considering mx racing.

ive ridden both to but i liked how the raptor felt in the air more than the 400ex. but if ur woods riding, 400ex deff. but like mx or something more high speed then go with the raptor

Raptors feel very tippy with a high center. They are fast, but the high center definately hurts handling. As far as jumping, the EX has it hands down. It's all opinion anyways, go ride both and see what suits you.

I would take a 400ex any day over a raptor on a mx track. While the raptor does feel good in the air, its lack of cornering capabilities brings it down. JMO

Well I just sold my 400ex about a year ago, the wife said I could get another quad but I would like one with more power. I was looking at the 450r but I kind of want to lean towards electric start. I loved my 400 but I want something with alittle bit more. I know I can put money into the 400 but I really don't want to do that. I guess I'll have to see which one I can get a better deal on.

The difference is that you have a girlfriend and not a wife. Things change with you get married. :blah:

I think the only time i had trouble kick starting something out of having dirtbikes for years was when i got slammed into the side, and the footpeg jammed into my leg. I had to have someone start my bike everytime we took off:rolleyes: Otherwise, you shouldnt have a problem kickin over your bike to start it

I hear you on the wife thing, it's called respect.

So you want more power and electric start. It clearly sounds like you want a YFZ450.

It's not always about how hard or easy it is too kick. Some people just would rather have an electric start. I would watch making statements like that about people you don't even know.
