Does anyone have a plus 1+1/4 swingarm with the elka rear shock linkage? If so how well does it work?

You will notice a big difference in the rear end travel and how it soaks up smaller highspeed bumps. I had it on my LTZ with a PRM skidplate and the linkgage hit the 1 peice skidplate. so if you are putting it on a Z use a rear skid and the linkage guard seperate.

it is rather difficult to get the front wheels in the air. i am not running a linkage but i run a rear elka and a +1.25 inch swingarm. all it wants to do is spin. on solid ground or a road i can pull it up in 3rd without too much of a problem.

i was telling my buddy it is tough to get the front tires in the air with this setup. he took it for a spin. well, we went to the road from a dead stop to do a wheelie. he spun them on the road. he concluded saying screw the swingarm because it is hard to have fun with stunts. i don't mind it though.

i noticed wheelies were harder but they were not impossible..i only weigh 130 lbs. nd i could wheelie in 1-3rd on dirt.

i think the main reason alot of people swithc to the aftermarket swinger w/e the length is for the extra bearings. i know the housers have 5 bearings instead of 2 or im pretty sure thats right.

I have a extended swingarm and can still pull the front up in 5th, on dirt. I dont have standard travel everything.
My buddies 400 with a longtravel frontend and a extended swingarm dont wheely for nothing. You can get it up but it goes right back down. I think the extra sag just helps it stay down.

As for the bearings you can put extrta ones in the stock swingarm if you wish.
