View Full Version : Indiana guys (I need some help)
I know that there are some Indiana guys on this forum, and I was wanting to know if any of you can recomend a good machine shop that I can use for installing a new cylinder sleave?I Have takin a friends Z400 apart.I found that the cylinder has a gouge
around the top,I took the cylinder to Dryer Honda. They called and said that the cylinder could not be bored. They said a place out west could fill the bad spot and fix the cylinder or I could replace the cylinder. That was big bucks from the dealer.I have found some big bore kits and I am not sure who could install it around here.
Thanks in advance...

There are a couple of good places in Lafayette that could help you out: Banes Machine Shop (765-742-1951) and Auto Specialty (765-477-7300). Both of these shops are very reputable and do good work, from what I've seen.
Let me know if you need any more information.

Give Bloomington Powersports a call @ 800 788 7223, and ask for Brian in Service. the guy that does all there machine work is really good and really fast. I think they only charge like $60 to install it if you take in your own sleeve.
Thanks for the info guys.....I am going to make some calls and get this thing hooked up.......This guy has had nothing but problems out of this bike so hopefuly I can get it going and straightend out for him.......Makes me like Hondas more and more everyday :)
