Can somebody tell me the differense in power between a full race port and a recreational port? I have a recreational port job it worked great with my 406. I just had it bored to a 426. I showed the guy at the shop my portwork and he said I could take alot more out. Around the valves mostly he said mine had not much done. Would I benifit from having more done? I will be running a 426 JE should be 12:1,479web cam, port and polish, hardened rockers, titanium valves, all the good stuff.

It would help a lot but a bigger carb is almost necessary when going that big on the ports.

I have a 39FCR. Who do you suggest for port work?

Full race, that is what i am getting next month, if you are going to port you might as well go all the way, if your engine builder is good like mine you can get 10% power increase out of a full race port!
