Question, I race cross country and hear other guys snap their throttles and it sounds awesome as though they are hitting their rev limiter. My 450R has a hesitation sound to it. How do I get it to snap? I have the HRC kit with the exception of Cam. I also have the air screw out 2 1/2 turns. What do I need to do to get it to snap.

I bet they have aftermarket exhaust and you have stock exhaust. Exhaust makes it rev much more free.

the "snap" your talking about is the throttle response. my buddy on his yfz put a pipe on it (HMF) and the first initial snap of the gas is neck breaking. i'm putting my pipe on today and i'll let you know if the snap is there. usually with a pipe you get alot better throttle response.

all i did to mine was put on a yoshi trs, and took the lid off with a k&n and 175 main jet, 2.5 turns out on the air screw and a dynojet needle on the second to last clip, and mine "snaps" like a mofo.

Hey guys thanks for the information. I have a two inch HRC end cap, I thought that would equal out as a performance pipe, I guess not. I don't have the cash to purchase a pipe at this time, just thought that there was something I could do with what I have. Thanks for your help!

a new end cap isn't going to do anything to help performance. The stock muffler is too restrictive. You need a straight through exhaust (aftermarket) to make any difference
