I want to put a new muffler on my 300EX, and then jet it. What do you have on yours? How do you like it?
What about jetting it, what should i get?

i cant go 300 bucks for a muffler... gotta buy other things too.. for my truck, and that comes first. 220 is my limit.

try a all around cam or a webcam, also get a curtis sparks advance key and a k&n air filter and a better more free flowing air box and i think you might have enough left for a jet kit then when you have enough money or free money and dont need it for the truck get the pipe and change the jet kit to a stage 2

screw a jet kit, go to the dealer and by straight jets, its alot cheaper

Yeah go to a shop and get the jet sizes you need.

I pay 2.50 to 3.00 dollars for a main jet 5.00 for a pilot!

You can get a whole stock of sizes and tune for best power.

lots cheaper than jet kits:D

EX Adam on my 96 300 I put the ids2 supertrapp on and notice all around better performance. Also it is not obnoxiously loud, plus you have the disc system that allows you to dial in the motor to what you like.Jetting is outlined in the instructions [1-2sizes up]and it comes with the complete headpipe, silencer. Here's the bonus the price is $339.95 http://www.royaldistributing.com/servlet/MiddleRedirect?page=ATV2001/index1.html&cat=ATV2001 Canadian plus tax. These people ship everywhere and are good to deal with.In U.S. dollars it is about half that. I am looking to get a pipe for my 300EX too, and after hours of research, here is what I have come to. Ritter Racing sells a combo for the 300EX that includes a 3" SuperTrapp pipe and an oversized Powroll headpipe for only $160. On ATVconnection I have talked to some other people with this pipe, and they all say it is the best dollar for dollar mod they have made to their 300's. So I am planning on getting this pipe now. I was origionally thinking about the WB Pro-Meg, but it's much more expensive and doesn't come with a headpipe (the stock 300 headpipe is WAY too restrictive), so naturally this sounded like a much better deal. Powroll also sells this combo, but their's is $200, probably because they think they can get more for it since it's their own headpipe. I am going to call both companies tommorow and see why the price is different even though it's the same system. I'll let everyone know what they say tomorrow.

Ive heard the IDS pipe on a bored out warrior. It sounded bad but it can sound good with a change of the discs. but if i got one for a 300 it would be the superttrap 4inch racing disc series with the open end cap. it is sweet. It runs around 250 or less

Well, I called Rick Ritter today and ordered my pipe. Let me just say first that this guy is the best to deal with. He is very honest, a nice guy, and he even threw in the correct jets with the pipe and some stickers. Ritter's pipe is listed wrong on his site, it's $195, not $160, so Powroll's pipe is exactly the same. I just decided to go with Ritter since he was closer and I have heard good things about him. When I get the pipe on and jetted, I'll post again and tell you all how it performs.:)

P.S. I told Rick about this site, so if you ever see him post, it's the real Rick Ritter.

Used to deal with rick back in my polaris days, he is a truely great guy! I hate the looks of his 400ex pipe though. If I get a pipe. it will probably be a yoshi, because that is what Terry suggests, and he has been honest in his reviews. Check out the review of the pipes for the 400ex on his website. :square The guy with the square head says Terry is the best!
