Does anyone know anything about VP MR-8 Racing fuel. I found a full can at work the other day and my boss told me I could have it. It is a brand new can. I have a 400ex just wanted to make sure this stuff would be alright to run before I try it. Can't beat free race fuel.

Yeah that stuff is expensive, but it is the best stuff on the planet (leaded fules for like 2-strokes and it is also good for 4-strokes. Helps lubrocate the top end more!

I work at a major chain of carwashes in the Indy area. We get people through all the time washing up their quads and bikes after races...I'm sure someone just set it out of the trailer and accidently left it. My gain their loss....

it will be fine to run it, but most of the time you will need to go up a main jet size when going from pump gas to race gas or it will run a little lean.

It isn't going to hurt anything, and the gains will be little. I do run a 50% mix with premiun from time to time, and a few times, straight race gas. I did the full race gas, because I was running just a bit on the lean side, and the added octane helped for the weekend. I love the smell of race fuel!

I would recomend that on a stock compression/timing motor, to just use a mix. Running full 110 of 107, which ever it is, could actually loose some power. The possible noticed gains, are either a trich of the mind, because it is 'race gas', or you have Cali pump gas, and we all know water burns as well as it. ;)

MR8 is a leaded oxygenated 107 octane fuel. If you are running stock compression you may want to mix the fuel with some pump gas. You really aren't going to see any gains differences between mixed or straight race fuel.
