first speeding ticket...

Welp... it finally happend! I was on my way home from college, only 5 min away from home, not 2 seconds away from hitting the brakes for my road, passed a sherrif. I knew I was getting pulled over before she even turned around. She comes up to my car: "Is there a fire, or emergency?" "Bathroom...", "Whats the speed limit through here?" "55" "How fast were you goin'?" (keep in mind, my speedometer does NOT work!!!) "Um... about 70-75" "86 sir..." "....****"

$266... $241 for 31mph over, $25 for no valid proof of insurance (mine was expired)

My question for you, will the court allow you to make payments ona ticket, b/c there is no way I will have $266 in the time I need to pay the ticket! Thanks

idk about the payments. Your lucky though, you get caught going 25+ over the limit around here, they drag your sorry *** to jail.

Most courts will allow you to setup a payment plan. ;)

if its your 1st ticket try to get driving school, it sucks but it wont go on your record. and its not the detectors fault, your the one that admitted you were speeding.

He must not have liked something about you. Here you'll only get a ticket if your going 70 or more. And they'll only write it up for 10 mph over. Anything like 60 to 65 they just pull you over and warn you if they have time.

The state police are horrible though, they'll write you up if they don't like the way you chew your food:confused:

ur lucky, around here it you go 16 mph over the speed limit its reckless driving. which is 3 points on ur licence and a fine. for going that much over the speed limit i would prolly would have taken you straight to jail. thats just stupid. get ur speedo fixed. most of the time when a cop sees a radar detector they have a tendency to write you up just because ur trying to knowingly avade the law.jmo

that sucks man, ive got two and im only 16...u cant really call one of them speeding tho....1 last year 72 in a 50 and no operators liscense...277 dollars, took driving class which cost me 100 dollars, and then flight to avoid arrest and wreckless driving, then impeding an officer conducting an investigation ( i wouldnt tellh im where my buddie that was with me had his bike at which he found out ne ways... the funny thing for the 2nd ticket i took a 50 dollar stop class and got out of it....and yes i kno, i am stupid

I got my first speeding ticket in april 76 in a 55, 21 over, $140 ticket :ermm:

4 weekends ago i got a warning for passing in a no passing zone....I didn't know the cop was right behind me hahahha oh ****.....then i was lucky with a warning....then the next weekend i wrecked my pathfinder and totalled it.....the police officer on that one just gave me a warnning also....I'm a lucky guy haha I'm gonna take er easier now though:o :devil:
