I just ordered a dual rate compression adjustable rear axis shock, and dual rate compression adjustable fronts for my 416ex....has anyone ran axis, are they as good as they say they are? Right now im running steelers with rezi's. 2000 dollars is a lot to spend on a set of shocks, are they worth the money?

i think he meant me sparky:confused: ,,,,,but yeah why wouldnt i get dual rate up front.? Just cause i dont race?? Well i have works triple rates on my 400. And when i jump they sure come in handy,,,but as i said i like the axis better, and to go one further i have a PEP rear on my atc250r,,,and it is comprable to the axis......AWSOME:D

i have the axis shocks for my 400. front triple rate compression, rear dual with compression. havent gotten to really ride hard on them, because a week before i got them i broke my leg. all i could do was look at them. it sucked. i am just now starting to ride again. i hope they r as good as the price was high. lol

Oh yeah AXIS is worth every penny. Yes it is expensive but worth it. I have AXIS all around on my quad.

They seem soft at times to me(when I ride MX). I have triple fronts and dual rear. I raced last night and there iis this jump with about a 8-10 foot drop off, I would land with the rear first and the fronts were botoming out, they were set on 6 or 7 I cant rember, 8 is the highest. I have never ridden any other high end shocks so I dont know how they compare. Alot of my buddies are getting elkas since they are cheaper. I might try a set on my R since I wont be racing it. I have bottomed the rear when it was set on 7 also. If I get a chance I might have them valved a little stiffer. I weigh 160 and they are setup for 165. But yes they way better than stock especially on trails where there are ruts they just eat up the stuff, Im going ooh this gonna hurt, and they just soak it up like its not there. You will be happy with them.

Axis is the best on the market and worth it. Thats why doug gust and shane hitt have switched from PEP to axis. They were being handed frees shocks from PEP but then decided to go to axis and had to buy there own axis shocks!! If that don't tell you how good they are I don't know what will. Axis would not give them shocks for free because they already have the riders they need, Jeremaiha Jones and Bill Ballance. Axis shocks are the best you can buy.
