That looks awesome, I love go-carts, even though the ones i have ridden haven't been that fast, there still pretty fun. How fast do those go ? Looks like a blast, how did you do it for 2 hours though ?

It was a blast, these kart's are 9hp novice karts. They had them tuned to go about 45 mph. I was able to go the entire course with no braking and slight lifting through some turns.

We had 7 team's of 3 drivers each with 20 minutes of seat time per driver. The team with the most lap's win.

karting is damn fun if you can do it. im gonna start racing a champ kart (kart with roll cage) next season and go part time racing in bmx if i have to race on fridays. i got 2 friends that run the sprint karts and another one that runs champ so im gonna get to spin him out a few times:p

This is a yearly event sponsored by Yokohama Tire.

Last year we ran a league every wed night from april to october..

That was a blast, lots of seat time last year..

My 6 yr old is interested in karting so he will begin his karting instruction in the spring.

I usd to race champ karts about 4 years ago. I had two classes that ran in, briggs 5hp and Tecumsen star. The Star was a beast, 23hp, 70+mph, and coming out of the turn on a 1/4 mile asphalt track my left front would be a couple inches off the ground from the torque.

It was a blast. A good Briggs engine could set you back about 800-1000 bucks and 1200-1400 for a tecumsen star.
