250ex mods

I have a 2004 bone stock 250ex. I have 500.00 to spend on mods. I want a pipe and better tires. Any ideas?

I'd get the pipe and tires, wheel spacers, air filter, jet kit, maybe nerfs, maybe better handlebars. Just my $.02. :chinese:

Go with a full HMF exhaust,K&N filter and some wheel spacers and 20" tires for the rear and some 22's on the front. Thats the setup I had on my 250ex when I raced MX with it. I wouldn't get a jet kit, I think it's a waste of $. Just go buy some jets. I think I had a 112 or something with no airbox lid, K&N and outerwear. I could keep up with modded blasters on bottom-midrange, and the same with mojaves. I even pulled the holeshot a couple times! I also had some works shocks. It was a good machine at the time..... Now I got the 450:D

>Wheel spacers-I had a guy make some for me out of aluminum, but I think they run like 100 bucks a pair. Either that or flip your front rims. That costs 5 bucks.

Those are just some in the ballpark prices to give you an Idea. I guess just pick out what you want the most. Dont get wheel spacers if you ride trails. I could FLY through the trails on that thing when it was stock width. That 250 was a pretty good machine for me.
