i think you might need to go up a little higher on your main. i dont think a 125 will cut it, but i could be wrong. just seems small.

Ditch or at least port the air box lid and put a real jet in that thing.

You probably wont even get much of a performance gain out of that set up, the stock main is a 118 so its not that big of a jump on the jetting. You're not feeding that motor much more fuel/air with that jetting and leaving the lid on. I think you will be disappointed.....

Take the lid off and throw in a 180 or 185 main jet, it will run better and you'll feel the power gains. Just my opinion....

If you are worried about mud/dirt/water getting in, buy an outerwears airbox lid, K&N Filter, and an outerwear for the filter....you wont have any worries after that.

LOL, i'm just saying why keep the machine clogged up just like it is from the factory when with the correct jetting and throwing the airbox lid in the trash.....you're quad will run very good with the slip-on.

I just cant justify spending $$$ for the exhaust when you're not allowing it to work to its full potential. Thats all I got to say....

Oh yeah.....that slip-on looks awesome! HMF keeps impressing me more and more each day!

I have a HMF full system on my 400ex and the mainjet they sent me was a 170...and i dont run an airbox lid...talk about a difference:eek2:

but yeah even with your lid on a 125 main seems a little small. you might try something in the 140 range

dont hate

trust me, you'll want to ditch the air box lid. I'm running an HMF full exhaust (with stock lid on) and a 125 Main. I did not see much power gain at all!! Very disappointing for the money I spent. But, I'm just a little scared about ditching the lid.

Stop being a girl and just take it off. Why would you have to keep it on anyway?

I have the HMF slip-on in Red on my 450R but the jet they sent I think sucks I had the jet on one day the quad wouldn't even run with the airbox lid on. I ended up biting the bullet and getting the HRC power-up kit installed and then using the HMF slip on. Now I see a huge difference and am now a happy hondahoney!:)

Jersey, we're not hating....just trying to direct you towards maximum horsepower!! if these last couple of posts aren't enough proof to you that you are wasting your time, then I dont know what to tell you.

Force, all you got to do is get a K&N Filter and throw an outerwear around it. Maybe for extra insurance, buy the OuterWear airbox lid which isnt really a lid, its more of a cover but keeps dirt and water out!

I've always ran with my airbox lid off on all of my quads and never found any dirt in my intake boot or carb unless it was because my air filter fell off, which has happened to me because of a user malfunction:D
