Does anyone own a vinson or rincon? I am trying to compare the better riding quad. I really want to stick with the Honda because I am so used to riding one....and they are reliable but hard on the back since they ride so stiff.

Ok, I am a Honda guy alllllllllllllllllllllll the way, but I have friends with both and the Vincon has out done the rincon in most situations and it is not the rider because both of them can ride good. I also like the look of the vincon better because it is more sportier. I hope this helps.:D

I know it's not what you asked, but...

Try riding an Arctic Cat 400 or 500 with the IRS if you get a chance. IMO, they have PLUSH suspension.

Not so great for high-speed blitzing, but way comfy for long rides (compared to my ex).

A word of warning, these are HEAVY machines, something like 600-650 lbs claimed dry weight.

I like the ride of the arctic cats. The 2005's are looking really good and they are very reliable. We have a 2003 arcticat 3004x4 with the IRS and it is a very smooth riding utility. If you don't want that then I suggest the grizzly 660. Both these quads ride considerably better then the rincon and vinson

Neither, Grizzly 660 or sportsman 500.

Grizzly 660 i love mine and would shove it up against a rincon any day. Also belts i have 3,100 mile son my grizzly and i have never had my belt slip and i been in around rack deep water. Also i never get wate rin the belt casing. But yeah i would take a rincon over vinson becas ethere bigger, faster, and have IRS. IF you want more speed than a rincon or grizzly try a p700 they have lot sof speed. But if you want pretty much speed and irs plus somethign that has driff lock and go's like a tank get the grizzly. PS you don't want to deal with honda brakes they suck balls for the mud. Another thing the grizzly ahs the rincon beat at!!!!

Yeah, the belts have a lifetime warranty. And a belt drive is a hell of alot cheaper and easier to fix.

Grizz or sportsman all the way.

Wait until the polaris sportsman 800 comes out and see how you like it. from what i have been seeing i think i am going to get one they look nice. Plus they have the EFI which gives them a good throttle response and gas mileage. also they have independant suspension.

One thing about the Rincon:

It uses the same transmission components as a honda civic. Its a 3 gear setup, but since it's derived from a car, there is no engine braking...thats one thing to consider if you are in a hilly area. For the price of the Rincon, you might consider the rubicon or the new Kodiak with IRS...based on my personal experience i would be kinda unsure about the reliability of the Polaris- but apparently they are getting better.

The Rincon is a good choice, but check out yamaha, arctic cat, and polaris too.

I have a Rincon, and ride with pretty much everything. I find the Rinny more stable, faster on the trails, a better hill climber than the Grizz or the Vinson. It has its short falls, the main one being the engine braking. I have not had one moments problem out of my Rinny. Add some better tires and exhaust/jet kit and it will run with the pack.
