That would be the service honda one. A cr250 dirtbike engine in a 400ex frame. And what is a 300ex doing there? It ain't no wheres near the capabilitys of a 250r or 450.

the 300 can and will be dissed. You are definitely a better rider --or the 450 is not running right. I would bet that you could ride a blaster faster than an amature on a 400ex. machine vs. machine the 300 has no business in the competition. the 250 is a 2 stroke with amazing power-to-weight ratio. The 450 is brute 4-stroke power. They are amazingly close. The 450 stock is much better, because it is 4 hundred and 50 cc's . That is huge! However it is true that if you port polish and bore a 250 it will scream. One of the biggest advantages is the 250s low weight and profile. It allows for tighter turning and a quicker take-off(with throttle control). Personnaly I am a 250r fan, but the 450r is sick! If you were to completely port, polish, bore, stroke... the 250, it is untouchable. But if you can't ride then there is no comparison anyway. My main point, however, is that the 300ex is a small, 4-stroke, wannabe racer, nothing. I do not want to offend the 300 owners, but you can't compare puppys to big dogs.

by the way you beat the 450 through the trails---> unless you actually threw the trails. you must be really strong!!!!

don't get your panties uptight. I was just kidding! I do respect you however for beating a 450 with a 300 in any way.

how do u figure the 250r is untouchable...that is a bunch of bs...ur telling me a super modded 250r will beat a super modded 450r? ya right...sure if u go balls to the wall on the 250r...u can also bore and stroke and port and everything to the 450r...and im sure that will rip the 250r to shreds...especially in a race...if ur doing xc ur telling me a 250r will hang with a 450? no way...u will have to be pumping the clutch and stuff all the time to even get around in that thing...in moto...ya the 250r and the 450r will be close...but that 4 stroke power of the 450 will make it pull ahead of the 250r...plus the fact that many hours of R&D work have been done since then...making the 450r a all around better bike...sure if u do moto it may be a a close toss up...but y waste ur money on an outdated old 2 stroke when u can have a brand new 450r that can easily hang with it...jus my 2 cents...but the 250r is not god...sure its a damn nice bike...but it aint nothing compaired to what we have now...the new 450's that is

Some apologies to my post. I was a little intoxicated. I agree that the 250r is not untouchable. with the same mods, the 450r is the big dog overall. I am a 250r fan still. Think about it. after all these years --> It is still a worthy opponent!! It is hard to differentiate between four stroke and two stroke in comparison also. It's like apples and oranges, both are fruit. But still different depending on taste.
