View Full Version : really wierd noise. help!!

when my 400 goes high rpm it makes this pop-crackle noise that sounds like its coming from near the tranny. it seems like it dont do it when it gets warmed up tho. does anybody know what this could be?

maybe the bearings in the tranny or rod bearings and balancer bearings arent gettin enough oil till it warms up some and the oil starts flowing better. its not the smartest thing to rev a cold engine up real high in the rpm's anyway.;)

ya i know. i let it warm up before i run it hard but i was just wonderin cuz my last one didnt do that
