Well I went to change my oil yesterday, I am getting ready for a 1 day ATV trip. I take off the crankcase drain bolt and drain the oil. Then i attempt to take of the oil tank drain bolt and snap the peice where the bolt goes on the tank came off with the bolt. STUPID THING. So now i have to get a new oil tank i just bought one used for $35.00 they are $180.00 new that is a bunch of crap to.

Anyways i just need to get that out.

Also the oil screen in the tank is supposed to come out, how tight is that screwed in. I don't want to break something else.

its gonna happen again unfortunantly.. get it welded around the drain plug stem and it will make it stronger, i just broke mine off last week and got it welded back on for $20 and its alot stronger now... there just real weak right there.

heres' a thought for you fellows :o

"don't tighten it so TIGHT"

whenever you get a chance look in your maintanence book and see what the torque is and tighten it to that once so you can see just how little bit of torque it take to keep it tight then you won't have to worry bout breaking it :o
