Im looking into getting a fcr 39mm carb but im trying to figure out why the are so good. Ive done searches but havent found any good info. I know they are bigger but what else. What kind of jetting to start with and what I would need for the switch from stocker? Thanks, Eric

what are all the mods on the bike?? what elevation you at? what temperature you riding in?

the gains aren't extremely huge. you will notice a bunch of throttle response though. it isn't uncommon to gain 2 horsepower or so. the carb is basically just a different setup from the stocker.

all you need is one of these carbs and a throttle cable. in the fcr, i would probably start around a keihin 175 and go from there. at the higher elevations, you will need smaller jets. however, i am not too sure how much fuel that bike will be wanting.
