ON JETTING I UNDERSTAND THE FUNCTION OF THE MAIN JET AND MOVING THE NEEDLE BUT WHAT DOSE THE PILOT JET DO?:confused:

Regulates the fuel flow from idle to 1/4 throttle. Smoothes transition from low speed to mid-range.

Also helps with starting and idling. Even on a stock 400ex, going 1 size larger helps a bunch.

You don't have to replace the pilot at all, the main will work just fine but while your in there I recommend a 40 pilot just because you can. It helps with those cold starts on cold mornings..;)
