hello i have a 03 400ex and i just removed the spark arrestor on my stock pipe and it sound better and no change at performance... can it be bad for the engine to remove that? what can be the consequences if theres any... thx

ty, so it mean that it change nothing xcept bigger sound? why i never saw someone running without one.. ??

I took out my spark arrestor, added a K&N
air filter with pro flow adaptor, and re jetted my carb without an air box lid.
I can tell a difference in torque and throttle response but nothing a piped ex wouldent smoke. I did it because I think it sounds better than stock and a can pull a stock ex an most stock Z400's.

Don't waste your money on that chrome tip crap. Save your $ and get a slip-on;)
