Welcome golfman. Tell your friends to get a six pack rack for the back of their quad, it creates greater leverage when lifting the back end to turn it around (feels a ton lighter). I can usually hop off and get turned around by the time the next guy FINDS reverse. :D
The '05 looks sweet! Good call. I could prolly hook you up with a set of nice nerfs with HUGE pro-pegs if you're looking.

MOFO everyone on this site has been trying to nip you in the bud for ages! It hasn't done any good, you are still here. So what makes you think insulting 12 year olds will make a difference? I think their conversation deals with quads, which is more than I can say for most of the posts in the active topics page. Everything from girl problems to stripping Brittany Spears. If you ask me those threads are a waste of time so why don't you go over there and ruin their fun. Leave the true quad junkies here to discuss what this site is all about quads and mods.:macho

so who gives a rats arse....a few people gave them a suggestion to use the PM because their conversation ONLY included them (ie 2 people)!!! All of those worthless threads (I do agree with that) are intended to stimulate conversation among all members, not just one other person. Anyone that has been around public forums can see the difference between a conversation of 2 people and a general question aimed at other people. Keep in mind, this was the point everyone was trying to make. No one complained about the original topic at hand!

BTW, this is the open forum... it does not have to be ATV related to be a topic.

You keep stating that this is the open forum, yet you try to sensor our ability to talk about the new 400ex! Your arguements are proving my point not yours! This "open forum" is the perfect atmosphere to discuss this bike! Why are you people even on this thread? Your only reason for being here is to defend your right to complain about the previous conversation. Yet in your attempts to justify your position about this "open forum" you only end up justifying mine!

Now back to the origional thread.....I have looked closely, and I believe the the plastics are interchangable on the two bikes. I really like the tail/brake lights and I am wondering what it would take to change over to the new style. I have always loved the looks of my 01 400ex, but I have to admit this bike is good looking too!:cool:

Yeah. i dont think it should matter if you have been here for a long time or not. you break the rules or get out of line and dont get banned its bull****. As far as I can tell the suspension is identical to the old 400ex. The gearing is the only difference. I don't know if it is possible, but it might be a little better balanced than the old 400ex. Either that or lileric is the most talented wheelie artist ever!

I guess you dont understand words when you read them. I do know you have trouble spelling a few...

Not one person was complaining about the topic of their conversation, they were pointing out the fact that they should use the PM feature for "their" 2-way conversation. Topic is not the issue and I'm not sure why you think that.

When the other members including myself, pointed out this was an open forum, that was due to the fact you wanted to bring in other threads that are not relevant to the point being made here. With those topics, you can debate the substance, but then again, not one person in this thread made a point about those threads other than YOURSELF!

OK children, lets take a "time out."

I'm starting to get the feeling that if I called Golfman's kid "out" at the little league game, I might have a fight on my hands.

Man, when I was 12 I had to put together my own bicycle from junk parts and whatever money I got from my paper route. Then we'd end up selling our bikes, and pretty much any of our cool stuff people would buy at a garage sale, to pay for our own braces.

I'm sure that Golfman and lilgolfer have attended a Safety Training Course (I rode for 20 yrs. before I went, then I realized I could have saved myself a couple of trips to the ER if I'd attended earlier). I'm guessing that's where they decided that it was OK to put a 12 year old on a machine intended for riders over the age of 16.

I can't help but wonder who will be to blame when the kid rolls it and gets hurt. The manufacturer? The owner of the property?............. MOFO maybe?......
