Rear Brakes..Please help

HI All, Iwas changing the rear pads tonight and needed a little help....got the old pads out no problem....Went to clean the caliper and a metal disk about the size of a quarter popped off the end of the brake cylindar.....?? It fits right back into the cylinder but there is nothing holding it in....is that right or is the cylinder shot?? The rear pads were worn down to almost nothing so I wouldn't be suprised if I screwed something up.,....

Thats pretty common, just glue it back down on the piston.

Thanks...what kind of glue should I use?? Epoxy maybe....

That would work. I use hi temp gasket sealent but, thats just what i had around last time i did it.
