Yesterday in my HS race I had arm pump by half the first lap and it continued for the whole race. I was fighting to hold on and at times could barely use the throttle. Of course my result sucked. The race course was somewhat bumpy but geezzz. I haven't had much arm pump lately but yesterday was a bioch. What do you guys do to help minimize it? Part of my problem is that I eat good breakfast around 8:00am and then don't eat again before say a 2:00PM race. I eat lunch after the race. I am definately going to try aspirin before the Ironman and see if it helps. I have a weight bench and am in good shape and ride my KDX and EX a couple times a week so I get some practice. I usually don't use a death grip on the bars either and I do have Spider grips but no steering stabilizer. Any tips? Thanks!
