300ex problem

I bougth a used 2001 300 ex and it runs fine as long as I keep the front tires on the ground but if I do a wheelie or jump something it spits and sputters and then dies, It will start back up and sputter a little then runs fine as long as I keep the wheels on the ground. What could cause it to run like that?

Sounds like you need to set the float level in your carburator. Purchase a manual if you don't have one and clean that thing out good with compressed air and carb cleaner. Also make sure you have plenty of gas in your tank and that you have full fuel flow coming out the hose on the bottom of the tank where it connects to the carb.:D

Yep.., Sounds like your float is letting too much/too little Gas into the bowl .
