i have a 03' 300 ex now, and i like, i ride trails 99% of the time and i was wonderin what a good step up would be. i don't want to get 400ex because we already have 1 (my dad rides it most of the time) and i don't want a 450r because of the price tag and i hear they suck on the trails. should i go with a kfx400 or a z400? what other quads would suit me good? do the kfx's and z's have reverse? thanks

i really wouldn't mind it, but i'd like to try something new. i would like an 05 since they have reverse tho. i'm just looking for input on the z's and kfx's

The kfx and z400 are both good trail machines but be sure to get the suzuki... the stickers add 3 hp

how much do u think i could get out of my 300? it is in absolutely perfect condition, detailed and oil changed after every ride......verrrryyy picky owner! i've also found some deals on 400ex's...i think. what is a good deal on a 400 ex now? i found an 03, stock, for 3400. is that good?

You should be able to get 2000-2500 for your 300ex. And as for the 400ex your looking at you could probably talk him down a couple hundred, but 3500 i don't think is a bad deal.

:( 2500? it's worth more than that to me. but, i want a 400 so i guess it's what i have to do. well, thats the easy part! how am i going to convince my dad? he'll probably say that i can have his 400 and he'll ride the 300 but i hate his quad! it's go the power but..... well i don't know, i just want my own!

personally i'd pick another 400ex, we were gonna get a banshee for a 2nd quad but picked the 400ex instead.

Its definitely nice always having spare parts and being able to interchange rims, stems, and everything else back and fourth when I need to at a race or track or whatever. Also we already knew everything about it when we got it.

Just something to think about.

Remember that it's not a performance quad, and there isn't the highest demand for them.
