If I could I would get a set of Works shocks, & fromt he sounds of it the Burgard arms are good :) I went the REALLY cheap route & had my arms custom extended :) +3's but am still running stock suspension :( do have a set of 400 shocks but haven't went that route yet, I mainly flattrack so they dont' get beat up :) GOOD LUCK

dirtmomma is right, burgaurd makes real nice a-arms at a good price for a 300ex. for trail riding go with plus 2 a-arms and a real sweet set up is the use a 400ex top shock mount relocater (find them on ebay pretty cheap) with a set of custom shocks. for a budget, the works would work great

:p oh geesh I'm right for once LOL ;)
Bradley I'm curious when you say "custom shocks" for the relocator?? Are you meaning NOT 400ex ones?? Do you still have your shock relocator?? Or did you sell it w/ the 350, if you DO have it you wanna sell it ;) seems like they are VERY expensive on EBay:confused: I guess I can just have our welder make me one maybe i'll print a pic for him.

dirtmomma- The custom shocks bradley is talking about aren't quite as long as 400ex shocks and they are valved differently to work in a more upright position. I have custom elkas that are 15.25" along with the shock bracket and +2 300ex burgards.

It also depends on the type of upper bracket you use. We use the same length as 400ex shocks (16" something) and have them custom valved and sprung for the geometery.

i call them "custom shocks" because its not a common set up you can call and order them like say, 400ex shocks. with this set up you will have to do a little measuring and fill out a build sheet (dont worry tho its easy, just answer the questons mainly)

the shocks mounts are an inch or so farter inside on the a-arms and slightlyfurther out on the upper bracket. this makes the shocks sit a little more vertical so the valving is a little different than 400ex shocks.

your shocks have got to be longer than that, that is the length for 400ex a-arms on a 300ex w/ no bracket, and 300ex a-arms using all the stock shockmounts are 14 inches or so

My bad. I went out and measured them and I came up with 15.25" on the elkas. I edited my post above. I was thinking of my shocks for the old setup. Thanks Bradley:o

Here's a pic of mine:devil:

Wow man.., nice 300.

I want to get a set of fullbores for my 250X.., but I don't have the $$$ for it,lol.

I'd really like to get a new suspension setup too.., but no money for that either. :p
