I'm selling my 1987 250X because it's just too small for my 240 lb. frame. The motor has just been rebuilt, with Wiseco .020 high compression piston, Web cam, new factory valves and springs. Also has brand new brakes all around, with a newer rear caliper, and brand new chain and sprockets (14F, 38R), newer 300ex carb, new front wheel bearings. The bike fires right up on the first kick, but might need a little fine tuning in the carb. I'm thinking it needs the factory 250X 35 pilot jet. Right now it has the 38 from the 300ex, which causes a little "hiccup" off-idle. The only other thing it could use is a new exhaust to take advantage of the motor work, and different rear tires. It has 22" spider tracs right now, but I geared it for 18's, but never had the money to get them. The plastic is all original, with no cracks at all, only a small burn mark from the headpipe. As of right now, I don't have any pics, but should be able to get some in the next few days. I'm located just north of Detroit, and would be willing to deliver or meet someone up to 150 miles.
