from my expierences sparks/tc and other big companies have slow/bad customer service! Bradley and popo have told me that GT Thunder is quick and does good work so I would check them out...

Since the yfz has descent power stock im doing my work, just small stuff. Pipe, MX cam, High comp. piston, Filter, and a local shop will do a port and polish for me...

sparks has a 450 and a 460 kit for the yfz..sparks is probably the best but the turn around it not that fast

their was a few mentioned i wouldnt let touch my bike even if they sponsered me so i give you some ideas..


esr- has offers a steel sleeve for 150.00 i believe so you dont have to have nikasil coating... its a 100.00 cheaper but i believe someone said it was a better seal if you used the nikasil coating but it could have been their opinion.. you can also get 97mm bore 12.5:1. 3 ring piston.. i believe

Piston kit $159
Nikasil $250
(or) Steel sleeve $150
Gasket kit $38
That means you can get the HP up for as low as $347 for the whole kit!
Here's how it works choose either nikasil $250 or steel sleeve $150 and add the rest up (nikasil is $447) and Steel sleeve is $347. he went to CP's website and was impressed with the info they had listed. Probably what sold him the most is the fact that Cp has an additional 3 drilled holes along the skirt which improves oil lubrication. Additionally, they have 2 drilled oil holes on both sides within the supports which holds the pin for increased lubrication of the pin. Both these items extend piston life and performance, especially under extreme duty and high rev applications. The lid of the piston is also thicker than the JE slug, with better supports under the crown, decreasing the possibility of a breakage.

bansheebob or bansheebc or something like that sells wr 450 stroker kit that bolts right in your yfz.. his kit includes piston clip rings and crank that bolts right in:) all for 350.00 (i rounded up i think) been a long night lol

if you need steering dampers, exhaust, intakes,cams,shocks, a arms, axle i would recomend you give t&t a call .. they are really good people that support the sport and test products and give you opinions on what they think is the best

The only person I am trusting with YFZ right now is GT Thunder! built for power and reliability. Don't see that from too many companies right now!
