ok, i havnt had my front elka shocks installed very long and when i went out today and took off my covers i noticed that my rubber seal? it is on the shaft at the very bottom and rises about an inch or so could be a bottom resister. but anyways on BOTH of my shocks they are falling all to peices. has anyone had this problem? Im not to sure what could have even caused this. also has anyone had a bent compression knob, i can only turn my a few times before it binds, kinda hard to explain but i will get pictures for you guys, so far i did like the way the shocks feel, but with the quality im not to sure about, im a little unhappy that i am having to deal with these problems and im hoping that elka will help me out with this issue.

This happens if you are bottoming the shocks all the time. But you have not had them very long, so this is not normal for new shocks. THey need to be changed give elka a call or if they won't take care of it call me and we will see what we can do.

the pictures do not really give justice as to how much the seal is falling apart but it is coming off in peices, and you can see how the shaft for the compression if bent so you can only turn so many times before it starts to rub it stops about 15 or so clicks

yea mine compression knob bent like that too??? Dont know how, but called elka and they said what they would do is take like a small screw driver and hammer and just tap it back straight again..They said it will bend very easy back, but do it very soft because it is copper and you dont wanna break it..I havent tired it yet so I dont know how it would be..

well when i called i dont think the guy understood what i was talking about the knob being bent, i'd feel much better that they would fix this themselves being this is excatly how i received this. I may sound like a dick to them but when you pay this much for an item it should come excatly the way you want it. So far they are taking care of everything and i appreciate there help. I would give them an A+ so far on the help they have gave me.

Make sure you take your shock covers off everytime you wash your quad. If you leave them on, the moisture will rot the bumper and they won't last as long.
