Valve tick?

Does anyone have a slight valve tick when they first start up there 400?

[400-416EX]

Do you have an hotcam? If you have a stage 1 they tick all the time if you have a stage 2 they also tick but not as bad as the stage 1. They may just need to be adjusted. I have a stage 2 and they need to be adjusted. I have about 2 months ride time on mine.

you sure its not piston slap.
if its on a cold start then thats probably what it is. the piston will make a ticking noise untill it warms up and exspands in the cylinder to make a tighter fit.

i was accually wondering the same thing,but mine has a slight tick all the time and i just did the vavles..
