in the process of putting 450R in 400ex any hints

ok well I and in the process of putting a 450R engine in my 400ex frame. I know this isn`t a bolt in job but the biggest part was conecting the motor to the swinger. That just drop in and the sprokets line up perfect. Now I just have to make some motor mount. One problem I cam up on so far is that the ( stock ) rear shock`s rezzie is hitting the back of the motor where the kick start is. I figure I`ll just turn the shock backwards and make the rezzie face the back. I there any other fix for this. I will be making a costum air box so room is no problem.

Is there anybody on here that did this swap???
Do you have any hints as to make it simpler?

i know this isn't a cheap solution, but it may be necessary to get a aftermarket shock w/ a remote rezzy.

yeah I taught about the after market rear shock but money is kind of low. So if it works I`ll just turn it around. Is there any reason why this wouldn`t work???

For your reverse shock idea, I wouldnt think there would be any reason why it'd make any diffrence. I say go for it, its kinda like if you turned the front shocks it wouldnt make any diffrence I'd think.-darren
