If you like to let it rev you might try the hot cams stage 2 or the TC racing 924. I have a TC cam and have been on others with them. They are a great cam. My younger bro has the hot cams stage 2 and it has great top end, but the power comes on a little later then the TC

i wouldn't go that aggressive unless you get a piston too. my buddies 406 runs much better with a stage 1 over his stage 2. i ran a stage 2 and i currently have the TC 924 grind right now. i liked them both. up too peak rpm, the TC cam is better. if your constantly bouncing off the rev limiter, you may want the stage 2 over the TC.

i thought you ran fmf, not HMF?

I would rcomend the hotcam, they are drop in.

the hotcams and TC cams are both drop ins. and with the tc, you use the decompression assembly. i never really had any major problems starting my bike with the hotcam though. actually, i think it started just as easy with the hotcam as it does with my TC cam. but, i am running higher compression now. my 406 actually ran great with the stage 2. my buddies just doesn't. however, my 406 was a little higher compression and i also run a sparks x-6 which complements the high revving stage 2.

i did run fmf till that bike got stolen and i picked up a hmf for my new 1 till i can gwt the fmf again so ill prolly be runnin it for like a month then ill give it back so he can put it on his new 1. so the TC924 sounds like a good cam its not for way down buttom in the rpm but its not up neer the limiter its more tords the middle. what will i have to do to install 1???

the TC cam is more of a top end cam. it may not rev quite as high as the stage 2. i am not sure, but they are similar in how they rev. the TC seems to put out a bit more until you get to peak rpm. however, it will rev much higher than the stage 1.

If you want to keep the frontend down get a swingarm or gear it higher. I would save the cam till you have the money to do more extensvie motor work.

If you are going to get a cam, I would recommed a higher compression piston also. Going to a 416 or 426 with a hotcam stage 2 and a new rev box will make a whole new bike. If you want to still run pump gas, get the 10:8.1 compression, you will be fine.
