Kickstarter won't stay put.

I removed my kickstarter to polish it and now it won't stay folded in. It flips out very easily with almost no resistance. Yes, the screw is in tight and the o-ring is in but I'm not entirely sure where the o-ring goes. Anyone else have this problem?:confused:

there should have been a little ball that was in the shifter itself that may have fallen out...it took mine off...luckily i saw it bounce across the floor..lol

Apparently that ball and spring fired itself across the garage somewhere never to be seen again! Thanks for the help. I should have looked on a parts microfiche first but I had no idea a part was missing!:huh
