i just got my stage 2 cam and i plan to install it on sat but seem to have run into a little problem. the instruction say not to use synthetic lubes or oils.i have always run mobile 15w-50 and never had problems. should i use hondas oil to break in the new cam and then swicth back to mobile 1 .also i am installing a wiseco 11:1 piston on my 02 400ex any ideas.

Your safe with what your running.. I always put some hi-temp grease on the cam while installing, but really, I dont think you need to do that.. just dump a little oil in the head after you install it..

so i should be safe with the mobile 1 15w50 and some assembly lube and dont really need to use different oil to break it in thats cool with me thanx

Well I mean, I have ran a 406 11:1 compression for over a year now, and had a HOTCAMS Stage 2, and have had no problems.. But now going to a 440 and once again going to intall the same cam out of the 406.. Are you going to have the stock carb??? if so, It will be doggy in the bottom end prolly like mine was,, but then I increased my pilot jet and it ran like a rapped ape,, even though I have never seen one of those run before...

I have never seen a rapped ape and never want to but i bet they are fast. i am going top change my pilot jet to a 42 right now i have a 40 with a 158 main which im also going to change to a 160 and go 2-1/2 half turns out on the mixture screw. and move the throttle clip down one current mods are t-4 slip on, K@N air filter W/ outter wear EHS air box lid mod gound header welds
