Who has had these go out on them? J/W I know its a problem and am wondering if you know why they did and what type of riding you do and how long they lasted. I heard you just need to stay away from mud and water. Do you guys go through small streams and stuff? (my problem is sometimes I do and want a bike thats capable.)

I race XC and MX. For 6 months I rode on mine. I just went threw and replaced the bearings. There are 4 bearings in the carrier. Cheap mainteance. You can replace with a RPM...

In the stock housing there are only 3 berings, one on the brake side and two on the chain side. i have been racing harescramble and i ride my quad every day through mud and water and mine are still tight. i have took them out and greased them once tho.

Grease fittings anywhere on the honda would be awesome. Thats one thing I like about the yamaha is that is has lots of greese fittings.
